Mini table saw wanted

We don't seem to have the exact section on here to run an ad for "Power tools wanted" so I hope here is ok!

Does anyone (I guess it needs to be Manitoba or NW Ontario) know of one of these little guys for sale? It needs to be this one specifically as it is 6 amps and perfect for my little generator at the lake. I borrowed our neighbour's when we were at the lake and it's about the only saw a 1400 watt generator can fire up.

Canadian Tire sold them up until last year but they seem to have gone the way of the unicorn now...

I can't help you with the saw. But if you can't find one I would suggest you take a old table saw and mount a 6 amp skill saw on it.

Carl, thanks, that would be perfect! I saw that ad last night when I was hunting but the fine print says "sold" unfortunately.

I have a black and decker table that folds and you mount a circular saw from underneath. picked it up at a garage sale a few years. I take a large dbl. dbl. tims in trade.

As long as I can find a low enough amperage table saw to mount to it (must be 6 amp or under) I'd say you and I are off to Tim's!!!

Actually, a little electric motor and saw blade would work too I guess... Never thought about doing it that way.

There's a lot of 4.5" models on Ebay. That might be a little too small for you though...

I saw those. They are a bit too small because they will likely barely cut a 2 X 4 (due to height I mean, not due to power). I plan to use it pretty lightly but when I do, it needs to cut 2 X somethings and some plywood. I don't care if it's powerful because when I'm at the lake, I have all day to cut a piece of lumber if needed! It does need to cut deep enough though.

I see most of these tile saws cut an inch or a hair over, that's it.
