Anyone have any ideas of how to repair
the stress cracks in the chrome around to boot area ?
seems to happen to all Acadian/Chevy II converts..

Is that a break or is that "the cracking" at the edge?   A chrome shop would normally repair that before re chrome?

It is stainless and completly cracked through
very hard to re-install, and it is covered by the boot
i think im going to make a clip to go underneath both sides
to hold them level
