Todays bush find

I'm told these have been sitting here for 30 years. Cut out six trees to get at the Safari, the Invaders going to be a little more labour intensive. Fred, I'll get the info plate on the Acadian when I cut the tree out of the front of it.

That's weird; this car has Laurentien on the fenders and dash panel. I agree it's neat to find them in their "natural habitat" but I get a big thrill out of pulling them out and discovering their secrets. 283 glide, standard steering, standard brakes, clear glass, manual rear window crank, 308 gears non posi. Got it from the original owner who picked it up brand new himself to save on shipping fees. Parked with missing ring gear teeth, unpredictable starting I guess. After all this time it's not seized, I'm betting it will run.

Is the Invader a 63 wagon? Sure a rare gem if it is. Looks to be a 63 from the hood emblem.

The Acadian is a four door sedan, 194 glide, 1963. As to the condition I'll know more when I get it home. Just finished cleaning out the wagon and the floor is soft above the muffler as usual but pretty solid elswhere. Worst part is the friggin mice. Wouldn't it be nice to have a rotissierie big enough to flip a complete car. Pulling out loaded headliners right side up is just about the ugliest job there is, plus you have the Hantavirus thing to worry about too.
