Lauren gets a little more naked

Well, it wasn't as productive as a long weekend as I would have liked. The plan was to put the front end back on, not take more parts off. Unfortunatly we had the wrong ball joints for the lower a arms, so re-assemble. Instead we took off the steering box, and the front wheel wells, going to take everything off and make it shiny. We decided that the motor is coming out and we are going to be putting a 350 in, so out came the rad and such.
I did get some starts! YAY! Thank you Vincent Jr. They look awesome, now to take some of my bits in to be re-chromed.
I also think I have found the steering column I was looking for. A 1960 Laurentian should work right?
Other than that, just have a trunk full of cleaned up bits, just waiting to be put back together. Fun!

I see I'm not the only one having fun with a front end lately!

The goodies in your trunk looks similar to a table in my garage...

Good luck with your project.  Keep us posted on your progress!

Hey Dennette, looks good & you made the right decision to clean up the inner fenders. After all your hard work it would have been a shame not to do that, Keep at it & need some full pic. of car???

I don't know if those are the original coils your putting back in, if they are I would suggest that u may want to put new ones in while its apart. I changed mine in my 61 this spring and there is such a difference in the handling and ride. Just my 2 cents, keep up the good work

Denette, what can i possibly do to convince you drop in a 261 inline six in your fine 59. What you are presently doing to your car, has always been the favorite part of restoration for me. Disassembly, rebuild, restore, detail and then the best fun of reassembly. Looking fine Denette and of course these wonderful automobiles are always more fun when they are safe to drive. Continued success with the resto on your fine 59. Cheers. George.
