Hi there, I have a 1962 Bel Air which has been rusting away in my back yard for years and it's time for it to go.  All the glass is still intact and there is still some trim left.  The engine is a straight 6.  I don't really want to smash it up and have it brought to the junk yard if someone could use the few good parts that are left.  If you have further questions please e-mail me.

..if you rolled the windows up really tight it might make a good submarine...and probably a better one than that fleet of boat anchors the Cdn. gov't bought from the British Navy..!

had a jeep that i parked in the ships long term parking (halifax)while i was away on a 6 month deployment. it was completely covered in a salt film when i returned, the window frame was eaten out within a year. i still have the jeep but the body is now fiberglass and the frame was replaced 10 years ago.

That's what happens to cars in the maritime climate. Back in 1981, when I had a 56 Chevy 2 dr wagon - I found a 56 2 door Delray sdn in the woods. Actually got some parts from it as it was largely intact. Last time I was back there about 10 or 12 years ago the car had receded nto the ground - hardly anything left.
