For you guys familiar with Kokanee beer this is pretty close to where it comes from.  A little over 200 miles for me, was a fun weekend.  Went down with a friend with his 67 Chevelle 427 4 speed, the nicest 67 Chevelle I've ever seen.  He won best Chevy and best A body out of the 330 cars so other people think it's alright too.  He was my pace car and it was the slowest trip I've ever made anyplace with my car.  He has 3:73 gears in it so likes to cruise around 50 m.p.h. and at times was even less so he doesn't use up too much fuel.  My wife and I had a few good laughs over it though.  We stopped for him to top up after 2 and a half hours driving so he could make it to the next city an hour away which had a Chevron with some high octane fuel.  He asked me if I was going to put any in and I said no my gauge just came off full and shows 7/8 so I'll fill up here on the way back.  So he had $85 in it at this point and when we stopped there on the way back I put in a little over $50 and he put in a little over $30.  I told him I couldn't go back that slow so I took off ahead of him so I could cruise at my 55 to 60 which my little 6 just loves.  I chuckle at you big block guys mocking our little 6 bangers but mine cruises so nice at 60 m.p.h. you wouldn't believe it.  I'd love to have 500 horses but I'm by no means rich and this way I can afford to drive it and not just talk about it.  Had to get that off my chest, no offence intended but you can actually have fun with a 6.  Anyhow I hope these pictures come up.  This city is around 10 to 15 thousand people but man do they attract some nice cars.  The one Chevelle was from Idaho and was pushing a little over a 1000 horse power but was proud of his 6 miles per gallon.  It ran the quarter in the low 10's.   He looked like quite a character.  Great variety.  1955 Corvette was valued at 125 thousand and was drawn for from a raffle Saturday afternoon with one of the local barbers winning it, sorta cool.  Finally found another truck for Steve and a Caddy for Ray.

Nice variety of cars there! Your friend gets points for driving his car there, instead of trailering it. :)

I do give him credit for not trailering it but for having done such a nice job on it I don't know why he wouldn't have put taller gears in it.  You have probably seen it as he takes it down to Spokane and to most of the BC shows.  He is just a super nice guy and we had a great weekend down there together.

Good eye Steve, was wondering if you'd notice on the picture.  It does have a newer style box.
