1957 Pontiac Pathfinder 2 dr hardtop - $1000 (Now with pictures!)

I recently picked up this car that was being sold as a cheiftan but its pretty far gone and I already have too many projects. I haven't checked to find out what model it is, but the body tags are there.

The Good:

Its definately a canadian pontiac and I have a good ownership for it. There is a running SBC and TH700R4 in it, with a 8.5 10 bolt rear. It is a 2 dr hardtop, and the body is not bent or anything. It has factory power steering, and all the glass is good except for the drivers door glass is cracked. It seems to have all the trim on it and its in decent shape. It has the original manifolds and generator/PS pump setup on it still.

The only body panels I would call decent would be the roof, trunklid, drivers fender is ok, and doors. The car really looks better than it is.

The bad:

While the body is not bent, it is rusted pretty bad. It will need full floors, a full trunk, fenders, hood, quarters, rockers, etc. Like I said - its real rusty. Did I also mention that there is lots of bondo in the quarters? Yeah - there is.

Frame is also shot - un repairable unless you want to backhalf the car.

The only trim missing is the front bumper, but I think it might be in the trunk. Its currently flat black, over green, over the original bronze. Interior is mostly red with tweed seats. Everything is still there, but the seats are from some 80's beige tweedmobile. It still has the radio delete plate in place.

Front drums are missing, but the hubs are there and it rolls. The power steering pump for the back of the generator is in the trunk, but all the lines and cylinder is still there. It is a factory V8 car.

The engine runs, but only if you hook it up to an outside fuel source. I think its a 305, with an early non smog 2 brl swapped on. The car has no brakes (see above about the missing drums) so I haven't tested if the trans works. This car was running and on the road in 2004. Scarey.

Its basically a parts car unless you are reallllly motivated. It is pretty much complete.

Car is in alliston, ontario. Did I mention that its rough? Just so you know - its pretty rough.

$1000

PS - maybe an interesting trade? If noone is interested in the whole car, I will probably be cutting it up for parts. Or I may just park it back behind the barn and put it on a lae model chassis over the winter.
