Its great to be back in the rinks already. The Sherwood Park Crusaders just played their 3rd league game last nite in the AJHL . They are looking great at 3 and 0 so far. My boy scored a pair last nite so pops is pretty pumped !!
Am I the only Canadian or member that doesn't care wether hockey is played or not, used to watch it way back when there were only 6 teams & it was OVER in March, now it's almost July before it's DONE!!! All summer you hear 640 AM "Home of the Leafs" in Toronto saying this is the year they win, by Nov. they are saying "maybe next year" & thats as far as my interest goes, hearing what happened on the sports news the next day.

I believe In the above statement we have found the root of your hockey problems...it's the word ( Leaf's ) that concerns us...see there are a few other teams out there that may be a better choice for you to follow. Take me for example..I am a Canucks fan...We have never won the cup so our expectations are much lower, and inevidibly, this leads to a much more relaxed.. enjoyment of Hockey. We are usually out of the play-offs in march or april, so the season doesn't drag on. Try a different team...you may once again enjoy Hockey. And in the words of Red Green " Keep your stick on the Ice"!!
I'm coaching the novice rep team, the Wrath! My time ended a few year's ago, had a good chance but blew it, and here I am! The kid's are what it's all about for me now. Yep I have photo's of the exhaust system if you need to see 'em.

Hey guys it's not the team It's the whole Mania about the "dumb" game. The sports news only covers "stick & Ball" games, theres hardly any coverage of Nascar, no Cascar at all, Indy cars, forget it!!! If it's not stick & ball they don't cover it!!! I'm a gear head through & through, so I guess I'm one of the few "CANUCKS" that can't stand Hockey. I hear arguements in the coffee shops & stores on the NHL & the players etc. so many people "sucked" in on the importance of the game!!! My wifes relatives are totally consumed with the game, spend thousands of $$ sending their son to hockey school & travelling around Ontario & the northern states,hoping that he will end up in the NHL in the league he plays in. Get a Life, there's more out there than Hockey

I just don't like the "WWF - Americanization" of "Canada's Game". I like amateur hockey best! Box lacrosse is wicked also! The NHL has been kinda lame and boring for almost 20 years now! I'm might get flack for saying this, but that's the way a lot of my friends and I feel.

I'm with Darryl. I get the real game by supporting the kids and freezing at the rink. Their enthusiasm keeps me going. We also like to follow the drag races on Speed TV and last week we launched our newly built 104 U.S. Army Patriot Missle (replica). Didn't get arrested for terrorism either. Nothing better than a bit of gunpowder and some electric matches. Whoosh!
Nascar is getting worse year by year. The COT is brutal. Nothing stock about a stock car anymore, Toyota running nascar, whole series is becomming a joke, 3 teams domminating with how many cars per team? 5? Rather watch dirt than that crap. Hasn't been the same sence 3 went down. Bring back the Alabama gang.
