The suicide doors look cool. What drivetrain is it sitting on? Will we see it at High River?

I wonder if I have photos of the same car? Incredibly rare is it's a Regina car.

It won't be in High River this year, although it could make it if I wanted to. It needs an out of province first.
The motor is a 350 4bbl SBC and th350 trans the rest is all stock !!!! It sits high due to the lack of wieght over the front end I will be fixing that this winter for sure.
I think it was built in Regina, when I talk to GM Canada he mentioned that about 200 were built in Regina, and that the eastern cars did not have the name Regina on the VIN plate mine does.
I may have mis heard him but there is a good chance it was built in Regina Sask
I have driven the car aprox 50 miles already and it works good the previous owner did the brakes and 12 volt wiring

In the late 50's, early 60's my friend's parents owned one of these, built in the USA, as their daily transportation.  We were 14-15 yrs old but his parents had come over from Europe and they were in there 60's.  Walked or rode the bus most of the time and drove this car very little.
We waited for them to go to bed about 8:00pm and about 9:00pm we would open the back door of the garage and push the car into the alley.  From there we pushed it to the next block and then started it by popping the clutch.  The car had a straight 8, very quiet running and a floor shifter hooked to a trans that you only used the clutch from a dead stop.  Once rolling we shifted without the clutch.  We cruised the drive-in hangouts when we could barely see over the dash.
This worked great for months until one night we drove into a city park shortly after a rain and buried the car to the running boards.  We called his older brother for a bail out but eventually we paid a wrecker to pull it and by the time we got it back home, his dad was waiting.  It was fun while it lasted.  I always thought the suicide doors were the coolest and the back seat room was perfect for a drive-in date.

Just for interests sake, here's the tag on a '37 Chevy that was originally sold to the Bowater-Mersey Paper company in Liverpool, NS.  The tag includes Regina, but the sixth digit is 0... would this be an Oshawa car?

Good looking car you have there! She is not in the registry yet, so 68sd will surely add it.

Oshawa is a "1" so I am not sure but an answer will be here shortly..........

I should clarify, it's not my car but one that I photographed at a show and got a little history from the owner.  It's really cool in that it hasn't been restored - it has the appearance of being about 10 - 15 years old and driven daily.  It has some cool Canadian touches on it as well.

I tried to post this hours ago but my browser hung. Anyway...

Here are 2 pictures of a 1939 Canadian Oldsmobile I took in 2006 in Ajax, Ontario. I seem to recall that you could tell the six cylinders from the eight cylinders by the mesh in the grille.

That Regina cowl tag is the coolest one I have ever seen.
I thought that grille didn't look like the car I remembered, we were driving a straight 8.
