The magic of CP

Hello everyone,

I've been a member for a year and really enjoy this forum and its people.  So when one of its members (Fitz) told me he was passing by Geneva (Switzerland), I said we have to meet, and we did!  So this morning we had ourselves a mini CP reunion, 6,000 kms from Canada!!!
here's the proof:

Fitz (André) on the left and JohnneeD (Jean, CP tee shirt) on the right...

This forum is really a wonderful place to talk about our common hobby, but I find the real experience is to meet good people...

There you go, I made a new friend today, so to all the people of CP and to Todd a big thank you for all the hard and sometimes fun work you all put into this forum...

Cheers

JD

ps: btw CP tee shirts are a real advantage to meet someone you've never seen before! biggrinbiggrinbiggrin

Wow, that is the about the best CP story I ever heard. You guys take the gold medal for an in person meeting!

I am sure we all visit many forums and this one is unique. It must be something about being Canadian. I too have met many guys on board and have not once been disappointed. As 427Carl likes to say "their even nicer in person".

Awesome !

Ray's right.  Gotta be the Canadian thing.  We are so veddy veddy polite.  This is the only site I actually "talk" on; the American's are so technical that I fear I'd get slapped out if I spoke outta turn or said something stupid...so I lurk there.

So what is the difference between a purple block and an orange block anyway?

Thanks Todd,

Yes with CP we can make really good metting, even at 6000 km away. Thank Jean to take time to lunch with me (and he paid for...) and help me to take train to Bienne. I made a new friend from CP forum hard work of Todd, thanks again.

I was in Switzerland this week-end (I'm back tonight) to make a surprise to a friend for is 50 years old. The plan with his wife was: Olivier (my friend) had to take back by car is daughter with a foot problem from the Bienne train station. Instead of his daughter he found, he found me his friend. He was really shocked!! If I could run a camera to show you his face... He "re" began to breath air one hour later... and his daughter never had a foot problem..

It was a friend and car trip, I may be sold a car in France (I'm looking for 56 any brand convertible 2 tone) and I maybe a vw 71 convertible to restore from Switzerland. Not a bad trip, friend from CP and car!!!

Fitz.

Slap me in the head!   You know i just got back from a European vacation and we were in Switzerland (where i am still suffering from a wipeout off  a scooter near Grindelwald-but that's another story) and it never occurred to me until now that i could have looked up a couple of guys and had a nice visit.  What a schmuck!
