Wow. His dad didn't mention that the fleet was up for sale. That's a nice wagon you got there. Keep it green. He loved green.
This is a one off because the Bonneville has been sitting in the driveway of the home Hillar lived in since about 1996. The home is actually Hillar's fathers home and he wants to sell it. Mr. Pinna told me the car was going to be taken away for scrap and that's when I went into action. I told him that I was sure I could find a buyer if the car could be transfered.
There are actually 12" deep impressions in the driveway where the car has been sitting neglected for the past 14 years. We had jacked it up and placed patio stones under each tire in preparation for today's move. The rear wheels were siezed but about 5 feet dragging and the right one popped loose and rolled and in another two feet the left did as well.
I was happy to be able to help with the paperwork and faciliate this for Tiny and Mr. Pinna and save a Poncho from the crusher.
Mr. Pinna is now very happy that he can sell his house . We all know Tiny is going to breath new life into this car. One real cool thing about it is it is a nine passenger wagon with the rear facing jump seat, real cool for the kids!
Here are some shots of the car being taken to Tiny today

It sounds like the life of that old Bonneville was tenuous. I'm glad to see that it was saved. I'm sure Hillar would be comforted to know that it went to an enthusist within the Canadianponcho community. Good work Ray, on getting a stay of execusion from Mr. Pinna on that old wagon. Hopefully the car is solid enough to be able to restore. It looks like it was a 428 originally, going by the 428 emblem in the grille beside the Bonneville emblem. A 455 would be a great engine to torque that behemoth along without breaking a sweat.
Congrats Tiny. Hopefully you can keep us posted on any progress you make on that cool land yacht.

I am glad Jeff (Tiny) was able to get the Wagon. No, it's not going to the derby. Jeff needed a cool summer driver to replace his Caprice Wagon that's on it's last legs. It will be customized slightly (I heard ramblings of air ride the other night). Jeff is pretty excited about getting this wagon. It's all he has been talking about lately. Jeff has a good friend named Andy who does phenomenal work on old cars (you should see his Willy's gasser!) and is also excited to get his hands on the Bonne. It's going to be one coool cruiser!
By the way, it seems Bidwell Towing has become the official carrier for Canadian Poncho. There's been some cool cars on the back of that rig! They are a great bunch to deal with.

All I can say is Rob who was picking up the car was a real pro. Look at that shot where he has the rig in position. This is a side street in Toronto, not some open space.
I made sure I got his card, he was a magician with that truck.
Rob picked up both my 59 Dodge and 58 Dodge. He's a pro and a great guy to talk to.

Well shure was a nice when we got home from Binbrook! I love it very nice car, the car is going metal flake green with a silver flake roof, air bag suspension with nice chrome reverse wheels, as for the drive train its still up in the air I know its going to be a big block just got to find and decide on one! I give everyone my word this will not be a Derby car!LOL
Im on the prowel for a good drive train just want a runner nothing to wild im really leaning towards a BB pontiac, I have a 454 chevy and a 429 cadillac but I want to keep it all pontiac the faster I get it rolling the faster it get the body done, I wont be able to sleep at all it was even under a car cover to add to the anticipation of seeing it for the first time. Im very happy thanks again Ray and Todd you guys are great it will be at a CP cruise next spring!
I.ve got the perfect powertrain for the wagon. 428-370 hp 460 ft/lbs torque out of the 69 Grand Prix. All its needs is cleanup and a couple of new gaskets and a painting.
This is very cool!! Ya gotta love those wagon's. I just have one question, did that dark blue Honda park there after the rollback had already backed up to the wagon. I can't imagine that rollback driver getting the truck in position with the Honda parked there. Enjoy tiny, it looks like a great car with tons of potential, please no rat rod?
