This weekend was the third annual Giant Tiger Car Show held in Timmins . Greg Kelso sponsers this event and all money raised is donated for the restoration of Bannerman Park on Porcupine Lake. This year over $6000 was raised with an exact final tally to come.
On Friday evening a cruise was held and 30 cars participated. At the end of the cruise my wife and I hosted a barbecue at our home and shop and all 30 vehicles and some 65 people attended. The barbecue was held in appreciation of all the car owners who have supported the car show. Everything was free as all food and drinks were supplied by suppliers for Giant Tiger. Total entries for Saturdays show was 68 surpassing last years total of 60.
John and Joanne Pankiw did all the photograhy and are making a CD of the two events. Our thanks go out to all that attended and all the volunteers that make events such as this happen and to all the car owners who travelled to this event from from Iroquois Falls, Kapuskasing, Cochrane. Sudbury and Toronto. When I recieve a copy of the CD I will do my best to get pictures posted.
