Hey,glad to hear of another 54 sedan delivery.Sounds like its in about the same condition as mine,youll haveto post some pics so we can compare rust holes.I will be trailering mine home soon I hope,would like to have it home so at least my freinds have something to laugh at.AS rusty as they are they are still rare cars,Im locating parts for mine too so send me a list and maybe i can locate a few missing pieces for your project

Ok here's a few pics.the car is mostly dis-assembled but all the boxes of parts filled up the back of my truck.The doors and more importantly the rear door are inside and in good shape.The front toe boards and floors are rotted,the rockers are bda,and the rear fenders need attention.Most of the panels are availible on ebay so nothing alot of time with a cutter and welder couldn't fix.The frame seems solid but some of the body mounts on the body are rotten.I don't know if anyone re-produces these yet.Most of the dash pieces,heater,gauges,knobs handles,etc are in a box.The roof has a few holes in it from what i assume was a roof rack but easily welded up,other than that solid and straight up top.Things that are missing,the original motor and trans(i think this one was a manual)the steering column,front glass and one side window is broken.I found the rubber for the rear window in a box along with the hinges.Most of the front end metal is there but not the greatest,it could use a donor car for sure for its front sheetmetal.Now what to do,restore it to original,street rod,straight axle gasser.I beleive there were just under 300 of these ever made and probably less than 50 still around.I have 95% of the stainless and metal trim for the outside and inside,headliner bows are there,interior panels are there as well as the wood floors that are in decent shape still so good for patterns for replacements.I assume it would have had a bench seat of some sort.I wish i had room in the garage cause it'd be in there getting tinkered on now but got to get the 4 door out and running first.I've had a few people stop by and ask about it already but i'm not even sure if i want to sell it or even what it's worth honestly.

I agree Fitz. Ya just don't see many panel trucks around anymore of this vintage; at least not so much in Ontario anyways. And just think, when it's done how much fun you'll have touring around
in it. Even if it DOES take a few years to git 'er done. Be sure to keep us posted on yer progress fellas.

ok weird things happen.I posted a few pics on my local club site and low and behold i get an e-mail from another member that has not one but 2 54 panels sitting in his yard a few hours away from me.Now we'll see if we can make a deal to bring them home with me.Wish me luck.

Panels are very cool looking cars.  Always liked that gasser look on those body syles. If you get those two you can build one stock and one gasser

Ok got some pics last night.He actually has 4 old pontiacs on his property,2 deliverys and 2 4 doors.The 4 doors are older maybe 51-52's kinda hard to tell but the tailights are definitely not the same as my 54.Same shape but kinda a round bulb on top.One delivery has had a newer modern front clip installed and newer sterring column.I would say out of a camaro or something similar.The body looks to be in good shape though,rockers,doors quarters all look really good.It has a hole cut in the roof for a sunroof though.The other is a bone stock 54 all intact from what i can see.Again the doors,rockers and rear quarters all look good in the pics.He offered it to me for 500.00 so i am going to take it at that price.He actually offered me all 3 cars for 1000.00 but i just don't have the room here.The 4th car is his ex-wifes so he cannot officially sell it without her permisssion.Apparently it was running and registered a few years ago.I will try to narrow down the years of the 4 doors.Hopefully i can go out next week and pick one up and get some pics of the others.
