It's October. Tell us your scary car story!

It's Halloween month so I thought it would be fun to share stories about cars you've owned (or still own) that seem to have a mind of their own. Haunted? Jealous of your wife or girlfriend riding along?

The only car I had that seemed to have a mind of it's own was a 1970 Biscayne that I named "Plain Jane". Every once in a while that straight six would run like crap or would be hard to start. My girlfriend at the time would stroke the dash and say "Come on Jane, we love you" and she'd run great!

Tell us your tale

Okay Todd, here's one.  The boss picked up a brand new Cadillac Coach back in 2009 with no prior history of paranormal activity-- which doesn't mean squat in the funeral business because it can be as spooky or as scientifically accountable as you choose to make it.  (I have never seen or felt a ghost but my colleagues say it's because I'm too distracted and won't look for one.)  Anyway, our mischievous hearse has a habit of not releasing its back door for no other reason other than I think to embarrass the hearse driver.  This happened to me twice but the best had to be outside of St. Michael's Cathedral.  Huge show with three hundred inside, 12 pallbearers, huge oak casket with the impressive one and a half inch plank, two priests, two assistants and a bevy of altar boys.  My only job that day was to open the back door and steer the casket into place.  As the cathedral doors opened and the casket began its final approach I discovered to my horror that the door wouldn't open...the emergency latch would not respond and while the key would turn, the lock button inside would snap down as if someone was pushing on it.  What to do?  I'm a Lutheran standing outside a Catholic cathedral so no amount of Hail Mary's is gonna help me.  So with the casket a mere thirty feet away and the whole world watching I went against type and said under my breath:  "Okay.  I get it.  You exist.  There's life in the hereafter.  Now open the  f***'in door!"  And presto.  It worked. And it's worked every time thereafter for me and my colleagues.

Boo!

Doesnt really fit the thread, but close enough.  This was back in the late 70's or early 80's, I was a teenager.  I was going rollerskating and had arranged a ride with friends, I was to meet my ride(friends aunt and uncle) at an underpass exit on highway 20 in Dorval. Myself and a friend were to meet a burgundy pinto wagon at that spot at 7pm. Sure enough right around 7, a purple pinto wagon pulls up and stops right at the underpass. Bob runs around to the farside and hops in while I shove some belongings out of the way and slide in behind the driver. She is now screaming at us from the outside of the vehicle. I still didnt catch on as to what was happening, I was more concerned that I had to ride with a crazy lady. Just as things were starting to make sense, another purple pinto wagon pulls up. It was embarrasing for me but quite scary for the driver.
