65 beaumont firewall question


trying to identify 2 small 3/16 holes on the fire wall.  to the left of the tach wire location and below the small wire gutter.

yep.. it could be that for sure.. but you never know.
there's not a resistor there is there? it wouldnt be that big anyway I suppose..

I don't think they used a resistor, if you mean for the points. I'm pretty sure it is a resistance wire instead.

Can you circle the holes in the picture? I can't quite make them out. I was thinking I could check the assembly manual. How close together are they?

I have never seen them used on all the cars i have seen 1964-1967

On my original unrestored cars there are actually 3 holes that make up a triangle shape.

They are originally covered with small pieces of cloth wire harness tape

here is a pic of my original 67 and my 64

Usually the tape has fallen off, exposing the holes to water getting inside the car.

MY BEAUMONT HAS 4 STUDDED TIRES AND 2 BLOCKHEATERS......AND LOTS OF OIL UNDERNEATH.  The other one has a longer roof.
