Maybe we should clone mine into one. All we need is a 400 and a 4 speed some interior door emblems and we're done. Other than that my car is identical.
Ha funny thing - I tried to print out this very article on Sunday after I saw the ad for Pontiac Enthusiast magazine in the September Smoke Signals. Prints out kind of low resolution but you can still read it. What a terrific car! That is exactly what I would love to get my hands on being the crazed 4-speed loving fool that I am. If any one has a copy of this mag I will buy it off them, none of the specialist magazine stores in Ottawa have it. Thanks Ray for posting this!

There is a '68 400 and matching 4 speed on another forum I frequent. I think it is in Arizona....$1500 will buy it?????? When do you want to start....Here is the original post for it.....I think the dist. is gone now though!!!
68 WT 400 complete with matching 4 spd
Location: Phoenix, AZ
Bought a trashed GTO body in Cali for this motor trans and rear and may not use it now. 68 WT complete and matching. block e078, heads 16 e088, intake e028 , dist 1111449, carb has no number but looks correct. complete long block carb to pan as pictured with brackets $900. I had it idling only by pouring a little gas in carb. ran but rough. Muncie 4 speed matches the vin on block. Have not pulled it to see if it a m20 or m21. don't know its condition. Have the shifter and handle too. Trans only with shifter $500. I am keeping the flywheel and bellhousing and the rest of the 4 speed parts. If someone wants the complete package with bh and flywheel will consider $1500. local pickup preferred but can ship thru forwardair. 3.55 rear has found a better home.

Thanks John, I like the thought of local pick up, who wouldn't want a road trip to get the heck out of this dampness that has been hanging around for weeks?
Ray, Thanks for posting that there is an article in the magazine about the 73 GTO. Now I will have to go on a scavenger hunt to locate it. A shopping I will go, a shopping I will go, high ho the crazy one a shopping I will go. May come home empty handed, but I will have fun doing it.
