How Many People Like To Go To An Auction?

I'm going to a farm auction with either one of these hoists in mind.

Have fun. I had to quit going to auctions, I was aleays bringing something home that I really did not need. I think I thought it was a game that I could always win???????I do miss going.

Love them. You sound just like me. I went to check out a trailer at one on Thursday and left because there was far to many other things I wanted.

I've never gone to an auction and bid on anything...I usually just watch cuz I think stuff usually sells for the max it's worth and I never see stuff I'd want to pay the max for..... (I'm not cheap)....I'll pay big bucks for something thats worth it. I guess i've never seen anything I felt was worth it at an Auction. And I've had friends buy stuff that they thought was a good price and they end up spending more money to fix or refurbish there purchase...when they could have bought a new one cheaper!!! I myself prefer to shell out money for new...then I don't end up with the other guys stuff that I gotta fix!! Unless of course you find somthing that you can't just go out and buy..Like an awesome old Grande Pontiac or something!!

Never got either of the electric hoists ... they were too big for my needs (pictures are deceiving), but they were working and very nice! Made in the U.S. and probably worth $1500.00 to 2000.00+ new. I didn't see what they went for.
I did get some nice tools. I just filled-up a box with name brand "odd-ball" stuff, and ended up paying $15.00. I got (2) 5 ton jackstands, for $20.00.
The main rules to win at an auction is to know when to stop, don't let your emotions get in the way ... follow your head and not your heart.
I saw a nice pair of 15" Cragers and a set of 15" Superior 5-spokes there with just a bit of surface rust.

I was tempted by this hydralic press! It went for $75.00!
