65 Beaumont 12 bolt support bars ?

I was told the extra support bars from frame to rear end was used for 4 speed cars. They are on the 65 SD 327 300hp auto I bought. Were they put on as an f41 package or did all high hp cars get them auto or 4 speed?

They came on a variety of cars. I had them on both my W31's, auto and 4 spd.

I hadnt seen them either.. but no surprises anymore with these cars.. anything is possible.

My four gear car had boxed trailing arms for a stabilizer bar, but it was a 283 car originally.. so I dont suspect I would have had those babys on it anyway.

Well, I would have lost that bet! I have a set for a 67 that I would have guessed are the same 65-67 but mine look different than that. They do the same thing but different design. Another one of those "learn something new every day..."

Ah, ok.... I feel better already!

It made sense the first style would be 67 and down. I was going to check the parts book later.

Thanks Dave.
