The 18436572 is the firing order on the intake manifold. Can you get the casting number off the back of the block on the driver's side?

If it's a powerglide, the kickdown linkage will be bolted down right on top of the casting number, unfortunately!

above the right hand side water pump , flat machined surface will have the block SN and suffix code.

It looks good in the pics ... BUT by your description, there is a lot of hidden "treasures". I would save your money (how much is he asking anyway?).

It's a US car? (re: your statement about the cowl tag missing data)

You are aware the cowl tag on the Oshawa cars is a lot different than the US tags?

in the states the build date is by weeks ,ie 2D,in canada its by the day up till 69

and its very different from USA

what do you have an the inner drivers door pillar ? A Pillar, should be GM of CANADA with the VIN stamped into it Stainless Steel tag.

from your description with the options of the build tag, sounds like a canadian built SS

The original firing order would have included cylinder 6 instead of #8 cylinder firing twice. lol
