We have our own stud, bought him from north of Prince Albert, Sask. He goes back to : Freckles Playboy - Doc Bar - Poco Tivio - King P 234 - Doc O Lena - to name a few. He is a real gentle horse ,that's what we were looking for.


Our mares are all pretty well bred, the palomino mare has Hollywood Jac 86 and Dry Doc on her papers.

We have horses because we love them. Waiting for the babies, watching them grow it's a very rewarding hobby. It takes the same amount of hay to feed good horse as it does a bad one so breed for quality not quantity.

We have 35 acres and my wife is horse crazy. I tell her I have no interest in horses that aren't under a hood.

I also tell her she is welcome to have horses if she pays for them and does all the work.

We have no horses on our yard....................

And by the way, I think horses can be beautiful but I just never got a real appreciation for them like my dad had.

I had horses most of my life. It's only the last 10 years I have not had any. As crazyj said I love them also but they just don't fit in my life at this time. I still have my saddle that I got when I was 12 hanging in the basement just in case and lent my harness to a friend he wanted to buy it but you never know I might need it some day.

i like a few mustangs in the barn but they must be big blocks lol we lost a horse to old age this sumer and only one more to go, hes 28 now but doing well but when hes gone thats it for me. but i still like horses but way to much work!!!

They can be a real pain in the butt sometimes but so can the kids, and the horse's don't talk back.....

My wife also wants chickens!  furious I worked on a chicken farm as a teenager ... to me, the dumbest animals on earth!

Just glad to see horses as pets and hobbies. Nice to know I don't have to wake up and do morning chores, then saddle a horse to get to work!

They are a beautiful animal but my problem with them is that they don't turn off and the fuel consumption is way too high for 1hp!

My wife likes horses, but I refuse to go near them. When she wanted to rent a couple to go riding (before we were married) I flat refused. She said it was no more dangerous than my riding a motorbike. I told her I wasn't having anything to do with a method of transportation that had the ability to tell me I was wrong.

Crazyj, those are beautiful horses.

My daughter has been horse crazy most of her life. We did a part board in the past but now she is a senior in high school and doesn't really have the time to devote to it. She still rides every week.

Attached is a picture from when she was 10 with an Apaloosa.
