Wow, good price too (usually these go for $2K for just the tranny - the linkage is worth a fair bit too) - however it would be way better if he posted pictures with the side cover off, to check for damaged gears, worn synchros, etc., all of which cost significant amount to fix ...

If u can find someone to pay 2g for a m21 I have one I will sell, new bearings, new syncro's new reverse gears. etc.  Not really for sale but if someone is willing to spend that much, I would sell it. Going to a m20 instead.

Had an m21 gear set in my car with 355s.  Have a m20 now and like it a whole lot better.  More fun and feels like better acceleration.

YUP, I almost did that to my 21, BUT it had already cost me close to 1G to fix so it was a better Idea to find a 20 to fix or a cheap 21 to convert. I found a cheap m20 to fix that was in extremely GOOD shape.

I am told the way the overdrive is set up in them it wears the internals out prematurely. Something about it spinning some of the stuff at higher speeds than it was designed to or something. I forget exactly but it made up my mind not to do it.
