1976/1976? laurentian wagon for sale

we have an ad on craigslist in toronto - search for Laurentian or click on http://toronto.kijiji.ca/c-cars-vehicles-classic-cars-1976-Pontiac-Catalina-Laurentian-Wagon-W0QQAdIdZ239181180

I am advertsing this on behalf of a relative - so some of the following needs to be confirmed:

This is a full size pontiac laurentian wagon - we have yet to figure out if it is a 1975 or 1976 - the original owner passed away some time ago and this car has been sitting in the garage for over 20 years!

please note that the car is currently located in cobourg - i don't have the exact address so i have posted it under toronto

The laurentian is a canadian only model - similar to the catalina model sold in the US. this model would be pretty rare - canadian only model and a wagon - not many of these have likely survived. some of the factory parts GM used for canadian pontiacs are chevy parts - the engine is probably the same that was used in chevys.

This wagon has the amazing "clamshell" tailgate that drops down and is hidden under the rear floor. this one doesn't have the 3rd row of seats, but has a storage area under the floor. this would be a great car for a tailgate party!

comes with the 400 cubic inch V8, auto trans, ps, pb. etc. - mileage on the car is over 90,000 miles, but this needs to be confirmed.

right now, the car has flat tires, the gas tank hasn't been filled in 20 years, and these appears to be rust on the bottom of the rear quarter panels - and hasn't been run in ages - it needs someone who knows how to bring it back to life! might also be useful for parts for restoring other gm cars (pontiacs or chevys) that used the 400 cubic inch engine and trans.

so, email me if you have any interest in this beasty! $1900 or best offer

I hope somebody buys it that will save it.

To BTG:
- I assume that you don't have a title for the car since you're not sure whether it's a '75 or  '76?
- If you could post some more pics of the car including an engine bay shot and a pic of the data plate on the firewall/cowl area I'm sure that the good people here could help you learn more about the car.
- What about the floor/frame area of the car?  Is it very rusty?  Any holes or structural damage from the rust?

All that information might help you sell the car a little easier.  The more photos the better.
