Jonathan, find out a make, how many hp. & how old the motor is, and how many speeds there are (there are/should be three or four different ratio pulleys under that top lid). It looks like an older/solid press that needs a good cleaning/oiling.
What do you need it for?

Kijiji: tools

I have a drill press in my garage. It has been there for 7 years and has never been used. I have 2 at work that I have personally used twice in 5 years. It's not something that I need when working on my house or my cars. If I was fabricating lots of pieces, I might find one useful, but usually the cordless drill is just fine.

that is well worth the money if you need a drill press, nice deep throat. Do you have space for it??

Wow, I'm surprised. I use mine all the time. I'd be lost without it.

I tend to fabricate a fair bit though.

There are times when I had wished I had a drill press to drill a nice 90 degree hole. I usually get by with my bench vice to hold the stock and my Makita or Milwaukee.

I have thought about using it, but I couldn't get it near the rusty fender bolts and it seemed like overkill for new emblem holes.
