Pontiac, maker of muscle cars, ends after 84 years

It states that all of GM's remaining Pontiac franchise agreements expire today, October 31.

So that means that Pontiac is officially out of business, effective today.

The CTV news also reported that as of November 1st any Pontiacs still in dealer inventory not sold are now officially classified as used cars. Weird, but since nameplate does not exist I suppose that's the conclusion that has to been drawn.

Carl, you are looking at this the wrong way, think Packard, Auburn, Cord, Pierce Arrow, Dusenberg all defunct but highly sought after. I just bought an Oldsmobile on spec biggrin

Wow  disbelief  I never thought of that!!!    

I will keep the old Pontiac Strato Chief,  even though its a 2 door  (poor sellers) and a gas guzzler..... 

and the old Sunfire...  MY $2500.00 "PONTIAC SMART CAR" 32mpg @105kmph
