My late grandfathers 1953 Cadillac, owned since the 1950s. The picture is circa 1975 after he pulled it out of storage since 1967. In 1977/78 he had the local Esso garage rebuild it. They brought in custom pistons from California for that 331 OHV V8. He was so shocked when he received an invoice for $2000 that he sold the car for $2000 in 1978. It had a 6V battery on the firewall and a twin scooped oil bath air cleaner, as well as a dual range, 4-speed Hydramatic. You should have heard those dual exhausts through the rear bumper. It was sweet!
