Does any one know if 61 Pontiac and Ch*vy rockers are the same?

Yes,  But they are basicly flat metal with a 90 bend.

Probably easier to make patches isnt it?

MY BEAUMONT HAS 4 STUDDED TIRES AND 2 BLOCKHEATERS......AND LOTS OF OIL UNDERNEATH.  The other one has a longer roof.

There is nothing left to patch. The car had no back window in it for many years and the floor and rockers are gone.

I had abody shop fab some for me. Then I found a part number in an old cross canada body panel book #735-00 for 1961-64 pontiac. New books don't list any pontiacs but Ifound they list same number for 1965-66 chev and1967-68 buick. I didn't check any futher to see if they matched. That might help you.

61 Chevy and 61 Pontiac rockers are NOT the same at all. The 61-64 Pontiac is curved all the way from the door seam to the pinch weld and the Chevrolet is flat and could be made on a long metal brake.

Wow, i had no idea,  had to go look at some pictures.
Ya, a real curvature to the pontiacs,  no wonder they rust out so bad, more surface to get hit by rocks!
