I am going to pick up a 283 tomorrow. I haven't seen it yet but know the deal and it's coming out of a rodded 50's pickup. It ran fine, quiet, no smoke. He says it has low oil pressure, 20-25 lbs hot, which I would say is likely close to normal...
It's a long block, no intake, no valve covers.
I wil most likely be looking to pass it along as I don't think I really have a use for it. I basically want to get my purchase price plus a little bit for the run got get it which will most likely amount to about 100 bucks total.
I have no pictures or more details than that at this point but will have more tomorrow.
The truck has been finished for a few years. He's been driving it like this but wanted a change so he bought a brand new GM crate 350 from me at work.
It has not been sitting, just pulled out about a week ago.
