I have a new, still in the packaging, General Motors The First 75 Years of Transportation Products hard cover book that was mailed out to every GM employee. It is a pretty neat book, colored pics...
You pay the postage and it is yours. PM me if you are interested. Cheers, Whitey
In 1987, I was a member of VCCA, (Vintage Chevrolet Club of America). General was celebrating their 75th Anniversary and contacted our club to display some of our cars at the Tech Center in Warren MI. They were hoping to get one car from each of the years 1912-1987. I owned a restored 69 Nova SS and it was choosen to be the 69 model for the display. In return for driving out cars down to Warren for the day, we were given a number of items commemorating the event. Among them was a copy of this book. We also received coffee mugs trimmed in gold, a poster, cassette of radio commercials over the years of GM. Can you say, Dinah Shore?? I have hat pins and a number of other items but I was alone that day as it was in the middle of the week and I never thought to take a camera. Bummer, but it was a day to remember. I spent a good portion of the day talking to mechanics from the test garage. Heard some very interesting stories. This book reminded me of the day, fore-speed
I have one also, Our dealer principle ordered some at that time and since everything shipped in came to the parts dept I asked him for one and he graciously gave it to me, of course holding one back kind of helped.

Back around 1987 / 1988 my supervisor at Eli Lilly showed me that book. He lived in Oshawa and his wife worked at GM. I would love to find a copy of it someday. At least I have a copy of the Hurst Heritage book, long out of print.

I was given a copy by a former manager of the AC-Delco plant in Southampton (England) who had joined in 1936. I have no idea where it is now! It would appear that copies were sent out overseas then.
