1961 Parisienne sport coupe restore begins(bubble top)

Well I have been at it a few evenings now so I figured it was time to post a few pics.

Front clip off and motor unbolted and ready to pull

interior striped as you can see it need floors and rockers

IMG00077.jpg

The guy I am renting space from laughs at me with all my bags of nuts, bolts and clips. He said I am taking all the fun out of putting it back together

This is the worst rear quarter

Here is a pic of the company the car is keeping this winter 63 Plymouth built in the 80'S he still tries to take it to the track a least once a year and his 49 Merc he has had since 79

My 57 took 6 months. This one my plans are to have it on the road by July 2012. By spring I'm hoping to have the frame and floors done as I only have shop space till May then it's off to Gimli then I can only work weekends on it.

The first picture brings it all back .It took me sept. 09- sept 10 to complete mine. I had pictures from time of delivery on trailer and every repair I made, up to starting the primer. Well one day playing with camera ,I deleted 200 pictures. Camera store tried but couldn't retreive any. It will  be of interest to follow your progress.  happy grinding   Greg

If you want to upgrade your drive train I can hook you up with a 348 to put under the hood.  Needs to be rebuilt, but its all there, " some assembly required" lol

I built a truck that was purchsed from two garden sheds full of parts and the frame was hanging from the side of the garage. I wouldn't have taken it on if the fellow didn't have everything meticulously labelled like you have. You will reap the reward ten fold when it is time to assemble. Take lots of pics of absolutely every detail of the car. It will come in very handy.

Keep us up to date with pics of progress!

I'll be watching this thread. I'm a new member and I've just started working on a 61 Parisienne too.
I'll start a new post so I don't hijack this one but I'm glad to see I'm not the only one with a pile of work ahead of me.

I see the car is black with a white roof. Are those the original colours? are you going to stay with the black and white?

That is the color it was born with and I'm pretty sure it will stay the same.
