Been a long time since ive been to this site so un update is in order. Heres my 67 beaumont...Big block chevy power(should be around 500hp) but not dynoed yet. t-400 trans to a 9inch rearend. Hotchkis/CPP performance suspention components. Custom interior. Next on my list is notching, boxing and reenforcing a frame I bought for it. So its a stiffer, better cornering ride and have more room for bigger tires to get the power to the pavement. CLICK ON THE FIRST PIC!!
Thanks guys... The color is Twilight Amethist Pearl. I got it from a Lexus(toyota). They only used it on the sc430 for 2 years so it was a rare colour. It's got a lot of purple and red pearl in it and looks great in bright sun light but black the rest of the time. I love it. Acording to Comps Cam quest software my motor should be 525hp. But when I dyno it im sure it will end up closer to 450-500. 500 just sounds better. The tailpipes were an after though. Used to have it end right before the rear end but now I have a 1 year old son in the back I wanted it to go further back. Not much room back there for the 3 inch exaust though and im not much of an exaust guy. So that was a do it yourselfer job that turned out kinda "original" looking I guess.
Big blocks are almost as cheep as doing a small block these days. But way more torque...easier to find the hp. I built this motor for about $4000. minus the shiny things. Could have done it for a lot less then that to If iI didnt put in forged pistons to bump up the compression and get porting and so much work on the heads.
