Can you say "Four Speed, Dual Quad, Positraction 409"?   As much as I'd like a 63 Impala SS with those features, this would make a nice substitute at a fraction of the cost.    hmmm

One of my childhood memories was playing in the sandbox at school in like grade 1 or 2, and the high school kids cruising up and down the street in front of the school at lunch.   I vividly remember one of our neighbor teenagers cruising in his mom's 63 Parisienne.    A year or 2 later, he was in a head on collision, and the fellow in the middle and the one in the passenger side went through the windshield.  Every now and then during safety courses, etc they'd show a photo of a car with 2 holes in the windshield, we all know whose it was.    A couple years ago I was curious and called the guy, haven't talked to him since before we moved to the big city in '71, just to make sure my memory was correct.   Yup, it was his mom's 63 Parisienne.   I've always like the side trim and the rear tail lights on those 63's.
