OK, it's a little early yet, but just to let all you GTO owner's/fans know the U.S. based GTOAA is having it's big gathering and convention next July in Portland Oregon. This is the big one for GOAT lovers everywhere. And the hosts will be the well established and organized club known as the Goat Herd from the Bend Oregon area. I've been to thier gigs before and can honestly tell you they put on a good weekend. The GOAT Herd usually gathers in May in the Bend/Redmond area of Oregon. This upcoming year will be a mix of the Goat Herd and GTOAA show n' shines. Details are starting to make a headline or two on goatherd.com See more on the "events link" of the web site. It's a while yet, let's get through the Christmas season, but keep watching for more info.

The GOAT HERD show in Redmond has had a "Pontiac Corner" set up for all special interest Ponchos. I went two years ago and there were a number of Grand Prix's, Tempest's and Firebirds. Whether or not the GTOAA show will have an area set up will need more investigation. I can get to Portland from Calgary usually in 12 hours or so, and I stay in Cranbrook BC as a half-way point. "455GTO" has a good point here. GET ROOMS NOW! Seems this is a popular event. Yes, there are great All Pontiac Shows through-out western Canada, inluding our own Iron Indians Pontiac Show n' Shine here in Calgary on the Father's Day weekend. But, if you want to meet some hard core GTO people and the GodFather (sorta) of the GTO.......marketing guru from back in the day....Mr. Jim Wangers! Always interesting to talk to, plus he always give an acurate, yet informative speech. He's in his 80's now, we need to listen to him while we can. Anyhow, keep watching thier web site for more info.
