8.77 @ 155 mph is pretty quick for a 4,000 lb car... It's no slouch.
I ran it through a calculator and it says you'd need a little over 1,000 hp.

He was no where near the wall. That was a perfect straight pass. The guy is an ace driver. Time to get your glasses on there brother. What a fabulous car though, you got to give this guy credit for beating to his on drum here. Incredible ride. George.

Gotta love B bodies that can pull the front wheels. So when are you going to up grade your 66 Dan? My 540 is on order with the man in red, should be delivered in about 10 -15 years. wink

Yep I watch that 1 from time to time sounds awesome, too much fun. My favorite is still Nick Scavo's black 65 Impala from back in the day. Some day mine will pull the front wheels with out the help of a jack.wink

He says it's a street car and he drives it all the time but I've got to think that he's running race gas at least while he's racing.
If you listen to the sound of that engine while he's doing a burnout it sounds sharp, like an engine with a fair bit of compression.
You can also see from the video that the car has a nitrous system so the engine might be mild enough for street use and rely on the nitrous to make the really big power.
