Extremely rare 1961 Canadian Pontiac Laurentian sedan. I've never seen another one. Not sure how many built but obviously much less then American version. Always draws a crowd at cruise nights. I bought this car off Ebay last year out of Houston Texas. Owner told me he bought out of estate sale where this car had been for the last thirty years along with many other cars. Car was not drivable. Almost everything under car has been rebuilt or replaced. New brakes, front suspension bushings, springs and shocks etc. It has temporary exhaust right now. Drive and restore as you want. This car had a straight six but it blew up. I'm no six fan so a V8 was planned. I found a correct number matching 283 but while in machine ship we discovered block was cracked. Heads and intake are 1961 vintage while block is 1966. Everything under hood is new including radiator. I thought the five spokes just looked right. I've had them for over thirty years. Tires knee deep in rubber. The interior is 100% original. Everything electrical works except gas gauge. This is a radio delete car but has antenna? Body is above average for a 50 year old. Body has evidence of repair especially left front fender at top. Paint is actually decent but is lighter than original. I had planned to paint it silver. Glass is nice. Not a show car but definitely a show off car. Fly in drive it home. Car is located in Rogers Arkansas. This is in the Northwest corner near Tulsa Oklahoma and Springfield Missouri. 501-204-9015

one of the guys that occasionally comes to our club meetings has one of these (can't remember if it's a Laurentian or Strato-Chief), I never knew what that roofline was called, I called it a Vista but realized maybe that was for the 4 door flat tops.
Yes Clint, 2dr GM sedans with that roof are nicknamed "Batwing". You can find them in all lines except Cadillac. The 4 dr. Hardtops are Vista Roof but also nicknamed "Flat Tops" as you say stemming from the big Cadillacs that people said you could land an airplane on.

I'm trying to ignore you guys, I already asked a buddy about using his trailer BUT I am going to do the fatherly responsible thing and send $5,500 to the University of Toronto to settle the next installment of Daughter #2's tuition and residence payments.
Lets keep tabs on this one, in a few more years I will be retired then the car fun can begin
and the chilldren will be paying you back for their education
Oh now there's a novel idea.
Daughter #1 just got a job after graduating with her Masters in October, waiting on acceptance to Ph D program. Yippie she has benefits so she got new lenses but good old Dad picked them up and had to shell out $250. She submitted the claim and got reimbursed yesterday.
Today I got a cheque from her for $220. That's nice but what about $250. "Oh Dad that's all they reimbursed me" she said
So now good old dad is also supplemental benefit provider not to mention financing the amount for 3 weeks....Daughters, don't we love 'em.
