Hey All Well work ha kept me out of town and away from the 54 for a bit.I did do some tinkering while i had a chance.All the front end sheetmetal is back on and bolted down,radiator is back in,hoses hooked up and started filling with antifreeze.I received the door latch i bought on ebay for the p.s front door so i will try and get that in soon.Then just the battery tray which i took off the 54 panel,cleaned up and painted to bolt in.Then i can put a battery in and see if it will turn over and maybe start.I still have to find or get an exhaust system made,i have parts of the old one but mostly swiss cheese.Next on the list is to drill out the broken seat mount bolts and put in a new carpet kit.So i guess my question is the 54 chevy 4 door the same as our 54 pontiac?I 'm not quite sure on the color,kinda an orange/tan as the car is pueblo tan on the outside.I did get the e brake cables all bolted back together thanks to all who posted pics.Tranny is full of fluid,oil is full,getting really close to trying to fire her up.Hopefully i have the gap set ok in the distirbutor as its been awile since i set points.I have to read up on the timing setting still basically have it set at tdc #1,0 degrees advance then i'll have to adjust from there.Anyways merry christmas to all of you and your families,looking forward to spring so i can go for the first drive.
