Tonight I jokingly said to my son "Only 6 more sleeps until Santa comes". Being 15, he just rolled his eyes at me. That made me yearn for the days when my son was young and I remember what a magical time of year this was. He would be so excited, sitting under the tree trying to guess what he was getting. I loved the night before Christmas. One year I remember doing the typical milk and cookie thing for Santa however I also tipped over the Poinsettia that was on the dining room table and left a little bit of dirt on there with some hoof prints and a note from Santa apologizing for Rudolph getting a little bit rambunctious. My son just thought that was hilarious.
They grow up so fast. This is the first year where he said "There's not much I really want for Christmas Dad". I finally manged to get him to mention a couple of X box games. If you have young kids right now treasure these moments!
My little one's still believe. Everything arrives from "santa" after they hit the sheets on the 24th.
Ditto. Our's are 8 and 10. They begun questioning, but I think we're good for one more year. Footprints on the roof, visible from the treehouse, one more time... (I'm going to miss it when they catch on.)

Well mine are 18, 21 & 23 and they still act the same as they did when they were 5. The primary reason for this is because I never stopped believing in Santa because I am Santa. The spirit of Santa is something I have never let die and Santa lives because I make sure he does.

Some times I wake up GRUMPY, but today I let her sleep in !!!!!!!!BLACKSTOCK Ont.
my little girl is 11. she thinks santa and i are good friends, as i painted a santa sliegh for a x-mas parade a few yrs back. she came over to my bodyshop that day, and sat in it. she still talks about that. she also leaves a bud light and a few chicken wings for santa every year. i think this may be the last year for beleiving though. i,ll miss that.
My oldest at 6 is still a firm believer and the youngest at 7months doesn't really know what going on yet. Christmas is always a great time especially with the kids. Nothing beats the look on their faces Christmas morning. I should be good for at least another 10 years.
My boy turned 12 this year and is too cool for Christmas. I on the other hand never grew up so i have 4 christmas trees in the house (We live in 2,000 square feet so it's a bit crowded but so what) and enough christmas tree lights goin' to make a person think they're living on the Tron movie set. And I love Santa too. He bought me golf lessons this year...and he still has all of his hair! Yayyyyy!
Mine are 22, 20, 18, 17, 16 & 15 and all still believe!. Learning at a young age how Santa doesn't bring gifts to those who don't believe helps!.
Give the little ones an extra kiss when you tuck them in on Christmas eve as these years fly by much too quickly!. Do kids dream about sugarplumbs anymore?. Who here ever did?.

This is going to sound nuts coming from a guy named Big Ray but my favourite Christmas thing to do in Toronto is go to see the National Ballet of Canada's Nutcracker. It is just so magical that you can't help but be in the spirit after going.
On Thursday we are going to see Trans Siberian Orchestra but I think I'll call the box office and get some Nutcracker seats too.
Our little guy is 14 months old and still too young to understand what's going on. He was scared to sit on Santa's lap this year. Last year no problem, he slept. However he likes tree ornaments and the cords for the lights! I didn't go with any garland on the tree this year, if he's like me at that age he'd have torn it all off. We've got some gifts for him, looking forward to seeing whether or not he'll rip the paper off. We have a stuffed Santa that he's cuddled up with sometimes. We're looking forward to him getting a little older and getting excited about Christmas. This year my wife is making cookies Christmas Eve so i'm looking forward to eating those...and the gingerbread house we built!
