Movies and Reviews

Hi, well since I am in the healing stages of a sprained left ankle and broken right hand, I have alot of time on my hands to watch movies...so I thought Id start an ongoing thread on Movies. Lately movies we have been watching are horrible, Either bad acting, bad story line, or just gorry and graffic(bad taste)
Here is what I seen this week and my feedback. We wont mention the story or ending because if someone wants to rent it, we dont want to ruin the movie for anyone else to enjoy....

The American.... Boring, long and dreaded out, no action, didnt pick up, waste of time, want my $5 back from Rogers Video. LOL

The Killer Inside Me....Extreme graffic, they could have left out 20 min of brutal violence. Just bothered me for 3 days how bad it was. Even my fiance was disturbed, good story line but just really graffic and not like Night Mare on Elm street graffic

Wall Street.....Unless you follow the NY stock exchange you wont get it or follow it. Fell asleep halfway through

A Team.....awesome. Just awesome. Thought it was gonna be a stupid remake of Mr T but it was really good

Iam Comic....only watch if your gonna break into comedy...its bascially a documentary, was cool interviewed Tim Allen as he sat in his HotRod shop but only for seconds at a time. Other than that it sucked.

Escape From Alcatraz....a classic so I bought it...Love Clint Eastwood

Dirty Harry......another classic of Clint

Salt.....Didnt like it....wasnt impressed, too fake

Jack ASS 3D..... I have the trilology at home.#2 to me was the best. wait for the rental

Inception....made no scence. stupid plot, to hard to follow. rather watch Teletubies

Crazy on the Outside(Tim Allen)....halarious. but then again I am, a huge Tim Allen fan

Please list good or bad movies you have seen. Might save us $5 renting a bad movie.

Also avoid The Other Guys at all costs...a huge disappointment and once again Hollywood destroyed numerous Chevelles in the making. I can only hope they were built using Dynacorn bodys and reproduction parts...

I didn't mind Salt. We recently saw the new Tron movie and really enjoyed it.
Inception is also a good movie.

Bill,
How do you like NetFlix? Is the quality and download speed good? Who is your internet provider? There's talk that Rogers will increase the price for data downloaded to make up for lost revenue caused by people using the internet to watch TV shows.

My wife likes Netflix. Her only complaint is that there isn't a huge movie selection.

I'm going to watch Salt tonight...
I watched Black Swan it was o.k,
I liked Inception, (maybe because i'm an architect?)
The Town was worth the watch, a few little twists
I thought Wall Street was o.k., but it turned into a relationship movie part way in and didnt deal with the meltdown and repercussions as well as i'd like...
I liked The Social Network, better than i expected...worth watching
I liked the A-Team alot, I loved the show as a kid...

other 'classics' for me include...
Role Models
Old School ...or pretty much anything with Will Ferrel!

Loved the A-Team, I must have watched the opening scene atleast 5 times. "There's a plan in everything kid. And I love it when a plan comes together!"

Watched the Last Airbender. I had to watch it twice to get the complete story. If it survives to make the sequel to finish the story It will be good. I think it tried alittle too hard to be like Harry Potter and Lord of the Rings

Tom, seeing that you're a Tim Allen fan, have you watched Big Trouble? Love that film!

My wife and I bought ourselves the 4th season of the show Psyche for Christmas. The show used to be on Hamilton when it was E! here in Ontario. Awesome show, very funny. If you like the "dramedy" style of cop show mixed with tons of obscure and obvious 80's references it's a great show!
