In the American sports car landscape, the Chevrolet Camaro is the king... of sales for 2010. For the first time since 1985, the Camaro has outsold its arch rival, the Ford Mustang. In fact, Chevrolet sold 7,655 more of its sporty coupes than the Blue Oval. General Motors moved 81,371 Camaros compared to 73,716 Mustangs.

Also wondering about the challenger? Out of the three cars, must admit that when a new Challenger drives by its one pretty machine and I notice it a lot faster than a Mustang or Camaro.

Don't get him started Wagon man. He's got all the Youtube footage to back up the Chevy's alleged power. (I think it comes down to skillfull drivers, but that's me talking.)
I'm seeing a fair number of these new muscle cars showing up at the drag strip. They all go pretty good it seems like the guy that gets off the line without spinning too much will usually win. I guess they pumped up the power on the Mustangs last year and now Chevy and Dodge have boosted the power on the Camaro and Challenger. The SRT Challenger and SS Camaro can run high twelves on a good pass and I think the new Mustang was slightly quicker so it's always interesting to watch a pair of these cars run. I think they're all pretty cool, not as cool as the old stuff but still cool.
I HAVEN'T BEEN IN A NEW CAMARO, BUT I HAVE BEEN IN A SRT8 CHALLENGER. IF THE CAMARO AND MUSTANG ARE ANYTHING LIKE THE DODGE THE GLORY DAYS ARE HERE AGAIN!!!
its no wonder that challenger didnt fair out to well. its 4200 lbs!
my 07 Shelby rag top tips the scale over 4000 lbs. The best time I could get out of a factory mule we had was 13.1 @113 MPH. The street tires would not hook on a 50 degree day and my slow feet didn`t help
We have a 2010 Purple SRT8 and anything more then a quarter throotle and the tires light up. My boss drives it and he sees no need for the bigger engine. Except to light up the tires just by touching the gas?!
But I do like the looks of the Challenger R/t! Wish they would put a bigger engine in that one!
