Impressive and rare!

I recall in 1968 some car enthusiast magazine testing a 1968 Olds Delmont 88 police package. In 1968 nobody else but Olds had a 455, and the one tested had 390 horsepower. It also had unusual (for a big Olds) dog dish hubcaps and blackwall pursuit tires.

The 1970 in  the e-Bay ad has 2.93 gears. Although thaty sounds a little tall, the 455 was a torque monster and did not need to be or even like to be revved. A set of 3.42 gears would mean the car is dragstrip ready.
