Rumour I read somewhere was that there a few Sport Fury GTs packing a 440 6BBL from the factory.

My cousin was a Delaware State Trooper back in the early 70's. They used 4 dr. Fury police packaged cars with 440's. He told me that they could hit 140 mph on the police certified speedo's. Think about that for a huge car like this. They beat the tar out of them on highway patrol duty, crossing medians and doing emergency brake spins, he even rolled one on a pursuit.

That blue Sport Fury GT above is identical to one our school janitor had back in Jr. High, loved it then, still do.

I traded my 64 SS Impala Convertible 300hp 4spd for 70 Fury III and $200. I needed a more reliable car as I was working in North Bay traveling back to sourhern On on weekends. I could have lived in the trunk of that thing it was so big.

also know a guy who is restoring a 70 Fury GT / 440 6 pack car and get this, he has another one for a parts car !

you are correct, and was also available in the fury3 as well as the chrysler 300,s. back then mopar had a great system. sell the public whatever they want, and whatever combination they want it in.
