I am wondering if a 57 pontiac laurentian two door trunk will fit on a 57 pontiac super chief two door.

Welcome aboard, The hood will not work for sure it is to short. The doors may but I'm not positive.

the super chief is a smaller wheel base then the star chief and both those trunks are different.so thats why im wondering if a laurentian trunk will work on a super chief.

Sorry I was still sleeping this morning when I answered . I'm pretty sure the truck lid will fit.

I would like to interject some info into this 1957 Laurentian discussion.

The U.S. Series 27 Super Chief and the Chieftain are the same 122" wheelbase.

The U.S. Series 28 Star Chief is a 124" wheelbase.

The U.S. Series 27 Super Chief and Chieftains are 206.8 " in body length.

The U.S. Series 28 Star Chief is 213.8 " in body length.

The U.S. Series 28 Star Chief rear fin is 7" longer than the Series 27 cars.

I have not measured the trunk on a Star Chief but it is much longer than the Chieftain.

A Canadian Laurentian rear body is the same size as the Series 27 U.S. cars.

A Canadian Lauretian trunk lid is the same length as the Series 27 U.S.

But wait and beware.

The trunk trim holes and trunk lock holes are in different locations on Laurentians compared to U.S. Chieftains and Super Chiefs. So not a perfect fit.

Canadian Pathfinder Deluxe models appear to use the same trim as the Series 27 U.S. cars.

The hood and front fenders measure 5" shorter on Canadian models than on both Series 27 and 28 U.S. models.

I did not know that, thanks for the info! (Also thanks for the other info too).

If you got a used US trunk lid complete with latch and lock, would that work on a Canadian Pontiac? Would require the pieces at the trunk floor, that the latch latches on to, to be the same, which seems likely but not certain.

The trunk on the Super Chief is kinda plain.but the laurentian one has chrome on it like the Star Chief so thats why i would like to know if it will fit.also would like to know if the curve of the trunk is the same..
