Yeah, I've been over here since 1984....first trip was for 3 months, next thing you know 26 years have zoomed by. Gas is $1.60 a gallon.

Beautiful cars!  I'm thinking the mileage on the 66 chev was put on mostly a 1/4 mile at a time?

No, my cars are in Canada with the exception of the Biscayne. It is in MN at my brothers. The Biscayne has 'lived' in MN all it's life.

Yup, you're right. It was purchased by Dick Ribaudo who bought the car new from Arrow Chevrolet in Duluth MN. Dick raced the car extensively (B Stock) and when he sold it the new owners also raced it. I purchased the car in 2004. Only 183 of them were built in 66.....at least that is what the 'experts' tell me. Buying the car in 2004was an interesting exercise to say the least.

I own an L72 Biscayne that was originally purchased from Arrow Chevrolet in Duluth MN by Dick Ribaudo in March '66. Dick raced the car extensively in '66 and '67. I have a copy of the DRAG NEWS FROM MINNESOTA DRAGWAYS where Dick's car was the winner in B/S running a 13.03 @ 114.94 mph

Dick's car was called "Rat Trap" and had a roadrunner cartoon character painted on the rear quarters. The Biscayne still has the original Aztec Bronze paint with fawn bench seat interior.
Unfortunately, Dick passed away years ago but I have been fortunate enough to establish contact with his son who had never seen the car. (I'm the 4th owner) If anyone has any photos of the car or information about it when raced back in '66/67 it would be very much appreciated.
Thanks in advance.

Yup, same car, the photos are taken in MN ... the top one is from behind my brothers house and the other one on a back road a few miles out of town. I took the top picture, the bottom one was taken by the gentleman I bought the car from.

I would imagine they have seen a Strato Chief in MN...the Car Craft Nat's are held in Minneapolis and there are usually upwards of 10K cars there. Interestingly, the gentleman I bought my Biscayne from had his 1600 mile '66 L72 Biscayne there a few years ago and picked up a 'Top 10 Award'.

Personally, I would love to have one of those Strato Chief's in my garage. It's got to be a BB post car like the white one in your picture....preferably with 3 pedals.  That's a gorgeous car!

Regards
Cal
