modern body swap for 39 pontiac coupe

hi guys i was wondering if an s-10 chassis would slide under the body of a 39 coupe ,
would the wheel base be close to correct just looking to save time on choppin a 41 frame down or throwing an camaro clip on a original frame ?

from the internet::

I would ''never'' do it.. nono.gif The work it will take, and will ''never'' look right under it, isn't worth it..
People don't realize how much easier it is to just put a clip in it

I have a friend, who welded in, a late model "little Bonneville" front clip  He got front suspension with power steering, and disc brakes, for 100.00..   He welded in rear Camaro type rear springs amd hangars

is the s10 frame the same width. as carl states don't do it. clips are a lot easier maybe use the s10 clip with the s10 leaf and mounts on the rear. then you don't have to frig with body mount locations and rear kick up on the frame.

with good measuring, a front clip can be grafted in easily in a weekend. i put a camaro front clip in a 49 intl p/u in about 10 hrs.

ok so i have two 39 chev frames it would just be easeir to work with those than to throw a body on s-10 chassis , wouuld early camaro fit just aswell as the nova? and for mounting say a 283 or 350 you could possibly work off the motor mts of whatever you pull the front end off of

A guy did the s10 frame under a late 30's here in town. Worked real good, had the right stance. It was about 12 years ago, the car left town . So I can't get anymore details than that.

I'm contemplating the same thing for my 36 chevy coupe. Keep me up to speed.

This is the S10 clip, we used in 1992 Sunbird Conv.    its a nice way to get power steering    Took it to alignment shop, and it was almost perfect
