Too Cold for me

Just got home from the Center of the Universe..Got there on Sunday night walked out of Pearson airport and YYIKES was it cold..wind chill made it -29...I was in Mississauga for work for 3 days so wasn't outside much but what little i was ...it was enough for me. I'm just spoiled livin on Vancouver Island { otherwise known as Paradise Island} where we might see -10 to -12 once every couple years at the coldest. You guys can keep it!! PS..It's currently +8.3 and overcast in Paradise!! biggrin

There's a price to pay wherever you live.  The islands get hurricanes; Greece gets earthquakes; California gets fires and mudslides.  Paradise is where home is...

Newfoundland is getting it good now - plus 6 and rain at least where I live. But the coastal areas got snow today. Schools were closed in those areas.

Shouldn't take much to make it nice and toasty, might even be to warm, LOL. Will have to leave the beer outside.

Ya, three years ago we had (2) 5-day power outtages ... not fun. At least 160 power poles down around our area.

I know you guys don't want to hear this but my furnace actually came on a couple times during the night as it dropped below 50F.  Good thing it is still sunny and 68-73F during the day.
All you guys really should take a couple days off and come see what South Florida is all about.

Maybe if we called for an offical meeting of the members, you could tell the wife it is members only and save the cost of a second ticket.  I'm available to pick you up at the airport in the Acadian, no charge.  I only have the patio available so housing is on your dime.  Sorry,   Norm

Well Norm I'm going to come check it out.  Will be down in Fort Lauderdale in 3 weeks for a couple days and then get on the boat headed to Jamaica.  Actually winter has been quite nice here by Canadian standards so when I get back we should be ready to cruise.  There was a street sweeper out yesterday a couple blocks away so spring is just around the corner.
