Getting a dash out

I got a call tonight from a guy wanting to put a Beaumont dash in his Chevelle and I was just curious on how they are fastened in.  Are they welded or bolted in?  It's for a 66.  Thanks.

Oh my. This is a pain. There is a ton of spot welds on the lower drip rail. I had to replace the Cheetah dash so I know what has to be done. I suggest that you just zip grind it out below the window in the cowl area and drill the spot welds on the door pillar. It's easier to seperate the lower front piece from the cowl after it's out. I say leave the lower area to the buyer. 2 hours work if he does the lower work. If you want pictures I can post them tommorow. Keep in mind that it took 2 hours to remove the replacement, 6 hours to get it to the point to be reinstalled, and the original was so bad that we just wacked it out with a nibler ( 15min).

Thanks Paul, I had a notion it wasn't going to be easy. I guess the price will be dependent on what is involved. I'll take a look tomorrow.
