so far this winter ive done nothing on the car, but after 4 years of looking at the moped i bought the wife i finally painted it and put it back together for her. Needs a couple more parts but hopefully i can find them and this thing runs. Its a 1976 Cimatta, an Italian bike I bought for $100 off ebay 4 yrs ago. If anybody has any mopeds they want to get rid of let me know.

the wife likes orange too, her 73 bug she had was orange also. Thanks for th ads,ive seen a couple of them, just thinking on getting one for myself but i will wait till we get to mexico and hopefully find a nice early 60's one.
My uncle used to get mopeds and scooters "off the boats from Italy" in the '60s/'70s in Montreal ... very cheap!

Mopeds are cool again! I had a few back in the 70's also an original 40's Whizzer bike that I sold about 20 years ago.. No pedal bikes left here now but there is a 64/65 Honda Cub needing resto that could go..

Here's my Moped....er......powered bicycle....er......electric motor scooter. Yep, she's a 2009 "e-Cycle". Sporting a 400 watt motor, she'll take you up 32 kph, on a good day. It comes equipped with tail lights, signal lites, brake lites, and the sickest horn ever. She's stealthy tho, so best to lay on that horn, particularly when scooting on a bike path. Took a while to explain to the cops it's powered bicycle, so you don't need insurance, license, or registration, just a good helmut. It helps to have one of those Mutual of Omaha Life Insurance policies! Anyhow, I won the thing at a Health Food Show. I figure she's worth around $1000.00, maybe more? Good times? Well it doesn't smoke, makes no noise, and there's no way you'll ever pick up the front wheel on the fly. I guess I'll take the carbon footprint excuse.
