I've got ads that I clipped out of the AutoTrader maybe 15 years ago of TinMans stuff,, Always hoped to make it to see him when I was on the wet coast...

Great stuff, wealth of knowledge , glad to have him aboard...

Maybe we can talk him into a Sponsor!!!

He seems to be quite the car guy

I was impressed with the chunk of GTO cowl, he cut for my friend several years ago in N.B.

Like Dave said to me everybody else loves what Tinman auto does , but on the Island it makes are market a little tight competing for local parts. I'm glad to here he's going on the web to clear out his stock. It will be neat to see it all.

Do we need to talk about competing for parts?  I recall "someone" competing for a nice 65 SD emblem on ebay and I ended up paying TOP dollar. Maybe you just want things too cheap.  If you want anything bad enough in this world, there is a price to pay.  I'm glad TINMAN has parts that he will sell rather than hoard.  twocents.gif

Actually I don't want cheap and am willing to pay the going price. The only things I so call hoard are the stuff related to my projects, "64-65 beaumonts". Dave is a whole sale seller and I bet if he found a part related to his own ride it wouldn't be for sale. I'm not a business and he is, ( big difference!) I sold a 65 Beaumont grill, wing window,  and a tail light just rescently and will let more go as I complete my stuff. Anything else is for sale. What do you need? I'm glad that Dave sells most of his parts also but the 68 Beaumont SD 396 rocker chrome wasn't for sale on his last nice buy so lets be realistic here. It's tuff when it's in the same town and Dave admitted that to me on the phone rescently. He's a volume buyer and alot of stuff we want on Little Rock goes by, by before we can get it. ( We as in the general Vancouver Island non business owning car collectors). I'm aloud to voice a opion and it wasn't trying to be intentionally negitive, sorry.

Hi Vern, noticed you were looking for our #. Its 250~743~7321 (Dave)  Cheers.
On a slightly different note, just for interest sake, every single car that we buy here at Tin Man Auto are people who contact us to see if we are interested in buying it. We do NOT scour through craigs list or kijiji, or even used vict or used nanaimo to buy it all up, that would not be fair to the auto enthusiest of Vancouver Island, I have to live here and see these guys at every swap meet and show 'n shine. It just wouldn't be right and with me it has to be right or not at all. Sincerely Dave

Thank you Paul for a very diplomatic reply.

Dave, your sense of what is right and how you operate is top notch in my books. Thank you for making it clear as to how you do business.
