I would gladly donate a yearly "dues" to this site. I wouldn't really care to be acknowledged for it. It's more than worth it.
I have already donated in the past.

I don't think all  2000 members have donated..   maybe 20-30..

The idea was, that its a neat way to allow memeber to donate, and get acknowledged on the Avatar ..

I liked it on the other site, and was just "showing it"

Probably not a bad idea.  As far as being acknowledged I don't know whether it matters or not unless it would encourage other guys who don't contribute to do so.  Some guys are just cheap.  You can even tell when you read their postings.  And there are the guys on here that are very generous and it's very enjoyable to read there happenings.  As far as 2000 people that will donate, alot of these guys just come on once or maybe twice and they dissappear.  I think I've said it before but what's a coffee or a brew or two a month and you've got an easy 60 bucks a year.  I've got friends who spend more than that on smokes in a week.  If it would work for Todd it would be interesting for him to tell us how many guys do help him out and roughly what he gets a month from it and how much more it would take to make life easier on here for him.  Everybody gets shy when it comes to talking about money.

It really varies. Some months are high (like last April when Mark did a collection it was over $600), other months nothing, most months maybe $20-30. The forum isn't set up to offer any sort of status to donating members. If you don't count my time, it doesn't cost too much to run the site. Now if I could only come up with the next Facebook.. What did those kids get for it- a couple of billion? Maybe that company that has been buying up all those auto forums will approach me. biggrin

My Dad absolutely 100% loved Foghorn Leghorn.... Only time I ever seen him smile and laugh watching cartoons.............. That and "Get Smart".....

Back to the topic at hand....... If there was a set "due", count me in... And I too have donated.... (Except for the hoodies which I am not into.... What's next?)

Oh, please oh please don't do that....

Have you seen how those forums that get bought up go to crap in short order? Plastered so full of ads you can hardly find the discussions and admins/moderators who couldn't care less.

I'm on my knees begging if you can't see that....
