Wipers!

Does anyone know how to remove the wiper motor on a 60 Strato sedan?  I started, obviously, by removing the wiper arms and escutcheons, proceeded to remove the screws for the cowl vent, and it would seem the vent is attached to the car still.  Does the lower windshield trim have to be removed to access more screws?  I couldn't see anything under the dash that looked like it would be holding it in.  Unless I wasn't looking hard enough...

i looked in my manual for the 59 but it dident really have much. For the wiper motor it does look like you have to take the vent off but i cant see anything about how to take the vent off or how many screws. Sorry

On some I've worked on you can undo the wiper mtr. from cowl, then pull it out far enough to remove the nut that holds the linkage to mtr. just make sure the mtr. is in the "park" position to re-install with wipers parked as well!!!

On some cars the cowl grill just snaps into place. That's how it was on the 59 Dodge I had. I assume GM would be similar
