Door panel repair.

Has anyone had any success or know of a product to repair the foil highlight on 68 door panels? There are 2 strips, one wide one thin and the Deluxe emblem that are peeling off as in seen in the photos. The rest of the door panels are in great shape.

i dont know what else besides the paint, that would work. my interrior is being redone right now, and my upholstery guy told me he cant even get that stuff, and he only does classics. i know they have chrome foil for model cars that you rub on, but dont know how long it would last?

RE: Door panel repair.

Go to the hardware store and get that adhesive foil tape for ducting (NO not ducttape)
this is a metal foil type.  It is very thin and can be burnished down and will pick up all the detail underneath.

Check around at different hardware stores,  some brands are thinner than others
The thinner the better for detail.

Just stick it on,  burnish it down really good, then cut the exess with a razor blade.

Works mint!

Thanks for all your ideas, I didn't know if there was a foil that would self adhere. It would be a shame to not use the original panels. Thanks again.
